Poinguinim to get new culvert costing Rs 30 Lac

Poinguinim, Nov 5: Residents of Poinguinim and Galgibaga will soon get a new culvert as the old one showed signs of deterioration. The matter was immediately brought to the notice of Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes who inspected the culvert.
 
Fernandes has given assurance for the replacement of the culvert and ordered the assistant engineer to take precautionary measures until the old culvert is replaced.

Further, Fernandes stated that he would file proposal for the new culvert and sanction it at the earliest. The proposed 6m-long box culvert is at an estimated cost of Rs 30 lac and will be constructed as per central ministry guidelines.
