Harekala Hajabba to be Conferred Kayaka Ratna Award on Aug 16

Mangalore, Aug 14: Harekala Hajabba has been selected for the coveted Kayaka Ratna Award conferred by Kannada Development Committee, Bangalore for his contribution to the field of education.

Hajabba will be presented the award at a function to be held at Nayana auditorium of Kannada Bhavan on the premises of Ravindra Kalabhavan in Bangalore on Sunday August 16, stated a press release.

Hajabba was instrumental in setting up a primary school in his native village near Mangalore by saving his earnings by selling oranges. He also plans to set up a high school now.

    He deserved to be conferred this award. How come his photo is not published. I wish that hajabbas dream of setting up highschool come true.Let Govt. and summaritans help him in this venture. Let his tribe increase. Hajabba jindabad.
