Bangalore: Swine Flu Claims Second Life in State – Victim Bangalorean Again

Bangalore, August 15: State witnessed second victim to Swine flu in Bangalore on Friday August 14. A 55-year-old man, Shivanna from Nagarabavi here succumbed to H1N1 virus at the Wockhardt Hospital, Rajajinagar in Bangalore.

The deceased Shivanna was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday August 12 and died on Friday morning failing to respond to the treatment. He was a diabetic and heart patient. The report from NIMHANS, Bangalore that was out in the evening on Friday has confirmed that the death was caused due to H1N1 virus.

It can be recalled here that a 26-year-old Rupa Anand, a pre-nursery teacher from Bangalore, who dies on Wednesday August 12 was the first victim to the deadly virus.
