Mangaluru, Nov 8: The inauguration of the Student council 2019-20, Anti ragging sensitization programme and Fresher’s Day were held at Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences on November 7.

The chief guests for the function were Dr Shivasharan Shetty, member, Dental Council of India and syndicate member of RGUHS, and Fr Cyril Pinto, parish priest of Holy spirit Church, Mukka.

The chief guests emphasized on the fact that there is a wide array of scope for dentistry with changing trends and ethics we need to follow as professionals for the betterment of society.

Prof (Dr) Manoj Varma, dean, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences welcomed the gathering and motivated the students by his thought provoking message to be a better human being in society.

Dr Hemanth M, student welfare officer, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences introduced the new office bearers of the student council.

Gaurav K, the new president of the student council delivered the vote of thanks.

Dr Natasha and Dr Ashwini compered the programme. Prof (Dr) Lavanya Varma, associate dean, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, other heads of the departments, Tom Thampi, the outgoing president were present at the function.
