Vivaan Shah was able to stretch his acting abilities in 'COAT'

New Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS): Actor Vivaan Shah is excited about sharing his next film "COAT" with the audience. He says the film let him "stretch" his acting abilities.

" 'COAT' is a special film. It let me to stretch my acting abilities and play a character who is completely outside the realm of my experience. When producer Kumar Abhishek and director Akshay Ditti narrated the story to me, I was convinced and said yes," Vivaan told IANS.

"COAT" is based on a lower-caste boy and his journey of wearing a coat. It is about how, from being a nobody who struggled for food and clothes, he becomes a somebody, a larger-than-life personality.

The film, which also stars Sanjay Mishra, has Vivaan's father and veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah as the narrator.

"It was great having my father as the narrator. It's always great to be involved with him in any project," said the "Happy New Year" actor.

Producer Kumar Abhishek added that he has learned many things while working on the film "COAT". "Vivaan was my first choice because the script demanded it. I knew he would do justice to his character," he said.
