Mangaluru, Nov 10: Nishanth Gowda, the student of First Year E&C of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru, participated in an event ‘Youth for SDG - Sustainable Development Goals’ from 2-8 Nov 2019 at Hyderabad, in collaboration with the United Nation Development Program (UNDP). Sunil Kumar of fourth-year Computer Science engineering was his mentor.

In 2017, the project won an award in Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt (SSTH - 2017) and Nishanth was then representing Sharada PU College. Now, Nishanth won the Youth for SDG Award, for the same project which is selected by the New Age Incubation Network (NAIN) for further development.

Nishanth is entitled to get an internship in the Netherlands for 6 months, which will be sponsored by the investors from Citi, UNDP. Upon completion of the project, it will be launched as a product by the United Nations.

As a Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt winner, Nishanth chose the Sahyadri college to skyrocket his dreams. The seed sown five years ago to promote innovations in the region bore fruits in abundance.
