Udupi: St Mary’s College to Host State, National Conferences

Udupi, Aug 17: A UGC-sponsored national conference on ‘Social Entrepreneurship, Dimensions and Development Orientation’ will be held at St Mary’s College, Shirva, near here, on Friday August 21 and Saturday August 22, said Dr John Clarence Miranda, principal of the college.

Addressing media persons, Dr Miranda said that Dr M S Mudittaya, KS Hegde Institute of Management, will inaugurate the two-day national conference at 10.00 am on Friday.  Dr Mudittaya will also deliver the keynote address on the occasion.

Shirva Our Lady of Health parish priest Fr Richard Coelho will grace the occasion.

Mangalore University (MU) professor Dr T N Sridar, Manipal University professor Krishna Kotai, TAPMI professor Dr Vasudev Rao, Ujire RUDSET managing director K N Janardhan, MU professor Dr Uday Kumar Irvattoor, Tiruchirapalli University professor Dr N Manimekalai, and Ahmedabad professor Dinesh Desai, will present papers during the national conference. 

A state-level conference on ‘Video Visual’ by Prof N Bhavani Shankar will also be held at the college from Thursday August 27 to Friday August 28.

Hiriyadka Pre-university College principal Dr Padekal Vishnu Bhat will inaugurate this conference.

Dr Satyanarayan Mallapatna, Prof Hayavadana Upadhya, Dr Narendra Rai Derla, Prof Rekha Bannady, Dr Niketan, Dr Mahalinga Bhat, Prof K S Sridarmurti, Prof N Bhavani Shankar, and Vaidehi, will be the resource persons.

Dr Ganesh Bhat, Prof Bhavani Shankar, and Prof Sridar Hegde, were present at the press conference.
