Mangaluru, Nov 13: “Human enterprise has no limit. Each individual is capable of hitting the stars. It depends on the depth with which we think and connect to this world. Be the master of your destiny,” Said Dr P S Harsha IPS, the Commissioner of Police, here.

He addressed students after inaugurating the annual sports meet in a frolicsome atmosphere at the Expert Pre-University College, Time Square ground, Valachil- Mangaluru. He said, "Hard work coupled with perseverance is the integral part of the journey toward accomplishment of a goal. He gave a clarion call to the students to dream big and give wings to their dreams in order to steer this great country toward making it a super power and robust economy."



Earlier, there was a spectacular display of marchpast with precision and perfect synchronization by the students from the four houses Arkavathi, Hemavathi, Nethravathi and Sharavathi. Rahul R Nayak, sports secretary led the march past.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions presided over the function and honoured the chief guest with a memento.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions; Ankush N Nayak, director Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions; architect, Deepika A Nayak and Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal graced the occasion.

Raghavendra Shenoy S, vice-principal, administered the oath to the participants of sports and games.

Nidhi Shetty, general secretary, student parliament accorded a warm welcome to the dignitaries. Rahul R Nayak, sports secretary (boys) proposed vote of thanks. Balakrishna Shetty, HOD of Chemistry was the programme director. The programme was anchored by Jasmine Prathibha, lecturer in English. Later, the students participated in various sports and games.
