Mangalore, Aug 20: On Wednesday August 19, three more suspected swine flu cases were reported. One of them is a person from Chikmagalur, who came to the city for treatment, while another person had come back from USA a month back, after which he also had visited Mumbai and Delhi. In the case of the third person, a doctor from Mumbai is said to have visited him recently. The suspected patients have been admitted at Kasturba Medical College and Father Muller Hospitals in the city.

Out of the five suspected cases reported on Monday, the reports have not found H1N1 infections in any of them. At present, there are no confirmed swine flu patients in the district, as all the seven, who had tested positive, were discharged after treatment earlier.

Both the persons who got admitted with swine flu symptoms on Tuesday, have tested negative to the presence of H1N1 virus.  Both of them are from Manipal. With this, the total number of confirmed swine flu cases in district has remained stagnant at 15, out of which, seven have already been discharged. The other eight are being treated.
