Mangalore, Aug 23: A dead body of a youth found at a construction site near Navbharat Circle, Kodialbail here on Saturday August 22 morning has sparked suspicion of murder.
The deceased has been identified as Sujit Shetty (22), son of Vishwanath Shetty from Naarla near Talapady in the city ourskirts and a complaint lodged at Kadri police station states that Shetty would have died at around 1 am in the wee hours of Saturday after falling from the sixth floor of the building under construction.
The relatives of the deceased lodged a complaint suspecting a foul play after the body was shifted to district Wenlock hospital by the police. Shetty was working as a aluminium fabricator since past two years and it is not yet known whether Shetty had taken up work in the said building. Further, police have not yet got a clue as to why the deceased reached the spot at midnight.
