Udupi, Aug 25: A Nepali student, who had taken part in a birthday party of another student at Shivalli village near Manipal on Saturday August 22, was found to have been lying lifeless at his friend's room later.

The student in question, named Braj Timilsina (31), was a final year BDS student of Manipal Dental College. He stayed along with some other students, at a rented accommodation in the second phase of Anantnagar in Shivalli village near here.  A birthday party of a student named Norton Menezes had been organized in the room of a friend named Gaurav Basnet. About 10 friends took part in the party and went back by 2 am on Sunday morning.

Two of the friends suffered injuries after falling from the bike they were riding on, while returning home. Basnet's room mates went to help them and at that time, Timilsina was sleeping in Basnet's room. They returned after providing treatment to the injured friends at Manipal Hospital. On returning to the room, they found Timilsina lying motionless. When he was taken to hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Reasons for the student's death are not known as yet. Reportedly, he had enjoyed the birthday party but had consumed liquor alone, without any food, as per a report filed by one of his friends at Manipal police station.
