Jitendra Kumar, Akanksha Thakur reunite in OTT show 'Cheesecake'

Mumbai, Nov 23 (IANS): Those who are addicted to 'desi' web shows would perhaps know them as SRK and Kajol of the OTT world. Jitendra Kumar and Akanksha Thakur are still some way off from Bollywood stardom, but the duo has struck a hit combination in the digital space.

The duo returns in "Cheesecake", as a married couple who are lonely despite being together, and how a lost dog named Cheesecake accidentally enters their life to make them realise the importance of unconditional love.

"Akanksha and I have known each other before we entered the industry and it's this friendship that leads to our on-set shenanigans and understanding of each other's characters. It is an absolute pleasure working with her," Jitendra said.

Akanksha shared: "Our bond for over several years now clearly translates onto the screen. It always gives us a sense of comfort to be working with each other and bringing alive any character. I am glad we are working together yet again."

Jitendra and Akanksha have shared screen space in web shows such as "Tech Conversations With Dad", "Permanent Roommates" and "Pitchers". Their latest, "Cheesecake", is an MX original series created by TVF.
