New Delhi, Aug 25: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) Tuesday signed an agreement with a Japanese firm for transfer of technology to set up renewable energy parks in India.
The pact was signed with the Tokyo-based Eiwat that develops technologies in renewable energy, designs energy parks and promotes non-conventional energy worldwide.
According to Assocham secretary general D.S. Rawat, the company will now design such parks for India to encourage eco-friendly technologies.
"In addition, Eiwat and Assocham will assist each other in organising business delegations and facilitating business contacts in their respective home countries," Rawat said.
