International film fest on wildlife, environment to be held in Delhi


New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS): Grammy Award winner composer and environmentalist Rickey Kej is a prime attraction at the upcoming 10th CMS Vatavaran international film festival, all set to take place in the Capital from Wednesday.

With an aim to create awareness on wildlife and and environment, films such as "Green Wheels", "Hawa Lelo" and "Hell Or Heaven" have been nominated.

This edition of the festival is themed "Celebrating Himalayas", in an attempt to highlight the importance of the spectacular mountain ecosystem in the current climate change discourse and action.

There will also be an interactive session with Rickey Kej, and master Classes on Green Film Making by award winners Anoop Khajuria and Dinesh S Yadav.

There will be special screenings for students along with a range of interactive activities like competitions and quiz. Also, a special training session for educators on Environmental Education and for students on Green Careers is being organised by WWF India.

CMS Vatavaran international film festival will be held at Dr. Ambedkar International Center till November 30.
