Kumble's shares captivating pics of tigress Maya


New Delhi, Nov 28 (IANS): Former India captain Anil Kumble, who recently visited the Tadoba Andhari National Park in Chandrapur in Maharashtra, has shared a sequence of some mesmerising pictures showing the rare sight of tigress Maya ferociously chasing another tigress.

He recently took to Twitter and shared a few pictures from his lens, where tigress Maya is seen chasing another tigress in order to protect her territory.

Sharing the pictures, Kumble wrote, "I had a once in a lifetime sighting of Maya the tigress in #Tadoba, who was protecting her territory from another tigress. The sequence of pictures shared depicts the ferocious chase that culminated in a fight and a civilised way of asking the intruder to leave her territory."

The pictures have garnered more than 10k likes and about 688 retweets so far.

One user wrote, "How do you manage your time and also you do not seem to age!!! Pride of Karnataka..."

"It requires a lot of patience and timing to capture such images...u deserve", added another.

One user remarked, "I have grown up in Chandrapur district (where Tadoba is located) and been to Tadoba so many times, but never once had the fortune of sighting a tiger. Really is a once in a lifetime capture @anilkumble1074 Sir."
