Dubai: Bunt Leader, Entrpreneur, Philanthropist M M Rai No More

Dubai, Sep 2: Mangalore Mahabal Rai (83), popularly known as M M Rai, a leading businessman and founder of UAE Bunts, breathed his last here on Tuesday September 1.

Rai, a leading businessman, had been living in Dubai since the year 1978.  He was born on April 26, 1926. M M Rai had started his business carrier in 1969 in Lebanon and later shifted to Dubai in 1978. Rai had also founded several organizations in UAE, India, France, UK, Lebanon and Cyprus.

M M Rai was the founder as well as the chairman of M R Group of Companies, M R Development and Commercial Co Ltd, which has centres in Dubai, Cyprus and Lebanon, M R Navigation Inc, which operates in Dubai and Panama and Federal Insurance Services and Consultancy Co LLC with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He was also one of the founder members of UAE Bunts.

His wife, Vani Rai, a native of Bangalore, India too is a resident of UAE since the year 1978.
