HC seeks govt reply on revelation of rape victim's identity


New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS): The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the Centre, Delhi government and others over a plea against revelation of the identity of the Hyderabad gang rape victim by several media houses.

A division bench of the high court presided by Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Harishankar sought responses from the Centre, Delhi government, government of Telangana and some social media websites and media houses.

The court has now posted the matter for hearing for December 16.
