Abu Dhabi, Sep 4: Bearys’ Welfare Forum, Abu Dhabi, an association well known for its charitable and social activities, organized an Iftar party in Abu Dhabi for the Muslim brothers and sisters of coastal districts of Mangalore and Udupi on Thursday September 4 evening. Despite the humid weather, a large gathering of more than five hundred people joined the party on the premises of Kerala Social Centre.

BWF has been organizing this annual Iftar party for the last few years and has now become quite familiar and sought after programme among the Muslims of coastal districts residing in Abu Dhabi. The programme started with recitation of a few verses from the holy Quran by the general secretary of BWF, Abdulla Madumoole. President Mohammed Ali Uchil welcomed the gathering.

Uchil highlighted the recent activities of BWF and briefly drew the attention to the recently held mass marriage of 15 under-privileged girls in Mangalore and distribution of wheel chairs to physically disabled people and also thanked them for their continuous support for all the social service activities under taken by BWF.

The guests were treated with a multi course and sumptuous dinner. Along with taking part in a pious programme, people got an opportunity to meet and mingle with their friends and relatives from different parts of Abu Dhabi. Many had travelled all the way from Dubai and Al Ain to join this party. Though there are many Iftar parties being held in the city, BWF Iftar party has been identified as a unique Iftar party in Abu Dhabi.

Vice-presidents Hamza A Khader and Sheikh Bava, Mohammed Kallapu, Basheer Bajpe, Abdul Hameed Uchil, Haneef Ullal, Ismail Shimoga, Imran Ahmed, Abdul Majeed, Abdul Ravoof, Rizwan, Lateef Ullal, Faruk Kallapu, Haneef Uchil, Ibrahim Perla, Abdul Rasheed and Mohammed Siddiq were present. Co-ordinator Rafiq Krishnapur delivered the vote of thanks. Treasurer Mohammed Siddiq compered the programme.

As usual I never miss to attend BWF Iftar, and this year also it was a nice party with a delicious Buffet served by BWF,and I enjoyed this vey much.I agree with Ms.Juliet about the no presence of Muslim ladies but differ to tell and would like to put the records straight that nearly 60 ladies of different religion attended this Iftar party, and it may be a miss from the organizers to provide the photo''s of attended ladies.Any way I wish best of luck to them and pray Almighty to bless them.
