Mangalore: Catholic Sabha Angelore Celebrates Teachers’ Day

Mangalore, Sep 8: Catholic Sabha, Angerlore unit celebrated Teachers’ Day at Angelore parish hall here recently.

Speaking on the occasion parish priest Fr Stany B Lobo said that teachers must try to provide a strong foundation and thus enable students to spread their wings as responsible citizens of the future.


Retired professor Rolfy Mascarenhas, the chief guest said that the teachers are the ones who educate their students on how to lead a good life. The felicitation to teachers is the reminder to teachers that they have many more responsibilities towards their students and the society at large, he said. 

Assistant parish priest Fr Gratian Alvares and parish council vice-president Jossy D'Souza were present on the dias.
 
Parish council president Edwin Cutinho welcomed the gathering. Peter Fernandes presented the Felicitation Certificate. Dimple Fernandes (teacher) spoke on behalf of teachers. Secretary  Felix Fernandes delivered the vote of thanks. Dora Rodrigues conducted the programme.
