Mangalore, Sep 8: A beautiful celebration of Monti Fest was witnessed at St Ann's Friday on Jail Road in the city today morning.
Over a hundred people gathered for the mass at 6.30 am. Flowers were offered to Mama Mary at the grotto and corn was blessed, after which the holy mass was held.
The main celebrant, Fr Bertrand D'Cunha, during the mass, stressed about the importance of Mother Mary in our lives, especially during our earthly journey as a spiritual mother. He advised people not to forget Mother Mary in spite of the difficulties and hassles one might face in their day-to-day life, and to remain close to Her.
The choir was led by Br Paul Sequeira, and sugar cane was sponsored by Vincent and Margaret Rebello couple. Fr Cyprian D'Souza, superior of the friary, wished all a happy feast and God's choicest blessings through the intercession of Mother Mary.
