Mangalore: Amit Singh Takes Over as New ASP

Mangalore, Sep 9:  Amit Singh (32), a native of Bihar, took over charge as the new assistant superintendent of police (ASP) here, on Tuesday September 8 afternoon.

Singh, a 2007 batch IPS officer, is a post-graduate in political science from Delhi University. After completing his probationary period at Hassan, he has been given an independent posting for the first time in the city.

Dharmaiah, who was functioning as the deputy superintendent of police in the city sub-division, has been transferred to the Bangalore division of the Corps of Detectives.
