Bantwal: Carmel College Modankap organizes free health check-up camp at Allipade

Bantwal, Dec 18: A free general health check-up camp for the public was organized by Carmel College, Modankap at Allipade in association with St Antony Church, Allipade and Lions Club, Bantwal on December 15.

The camp was organized by 35 members of Fr Muller Medical College & Hospital, Mangaluru under the initiative of Dr Veena Pinto. A free medical examination under four departments general medicine, ENT, eye and skin along with free blood sugar, blood pressure and ECG tests were provided by the hospital. Also, names were registered for free health cards.



Approximately 163 people benefitted from the general health camp. Doctors advised them various medicines and consultations during the camp.

Chief guest, Fr Fredrick Monteiro, parish priest, St Antony Church, Allipade inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. In his message, he appreciated Carmel College and Lions Club for rendering services to the public. Lions Club president, Ln Srinivas Poojary thanked the college for their service. Carmel College principal, Dr Sr Latha A C, physician Dr Veena Pinto, Lions Club treasurer Devika Damodar, Sr Archana, Marsini Pinto were present on the dais.

Babitha, YRC secretary welcomed the gathering, Pooja, NSS secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Babitha, student council president compered the programme.

The camp was coordinated by Vinitha Veigas, YRC Officer and Bhavitha, Human Rights Cell co-ordinator.
