Sportz Village Xp bags mandate for Khelo India Youth Games


Guwahati, Dec 18 (IANS): Sportz Village Xp (formerly known as SportzConsult) will bring its expertise in sports management services to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) to organize and execute Indias flagship sports programme Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2020 to be held here between January 10 and 22.

Sportz Village Xp, backed by its over 15 years' experience in carrying out successful sporting initiatives across the nation will be part of the core execution team at KYIG for design, accreditation, branding and complete media operations.

"It is an honour for Sportz Village Xp to be associated with the prestigious Khelo India Youth Games, the greatest sporting initiative in our country today. This is a big leap and aligns to our mission to get 100 million kids to play. It's also the perfect juxtaposition of our ideology with Khelo India's, i.e. to build India as an active sporting nation," said Jitendra Joshi, Director and Co-Founder, Sportz Village Xp.

Over the last 15 years, Sportz Village Xp has focused on mass participative sports and their programmes have reached over 30 lakh individuals and more than 2000 coaches annually.

KYIG 2020 is India's flagship sports programme aimed at inculcating the culture of sports in the lifestyle of the youth of India. Khelo India's inaugural edition was held in New Delhi in 2018, while Pune hosted the 2nd edition in 2019. This edition will be conducted in partnership with the Indian Olympic Association, School Games Federation of India and Assam as its host state.
