Mangaluru, Dec 18: The logo launching ceremony of ‘Sahyadri 10K Run, Mangaluru’ on December 19 at 5.00 pm at Dr TMA Pai Convention Hall,

To accomplish this mission and to create awareness of a healthy environment, Dakshina Kannada Athletic Association is organizing a mega event ‘Sahyadri 10K Run, Mangaluru’, in line with Fit India Movement. This event is promoted by Bhandary Foundation in association with the Dept of Youth Empowerment & Sports, Govt of Karnataka; Mangalore University; Visvesvaraya Technological University and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science.

Launching of the logo is by K S Eshwarappa, minister for Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Govt of Karnataka in the august presence of:

Dr P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya, vice-chancellor, Mangalore University
Dr Karisiddappa, vice-chancellor, VTU, Belagavi
Dr S Sacchidanand, vice-chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
K P Purushothama, vice-chairman, Sports Authority, Govt of Karnataka
Gurukiran, music icon.

The association is also conducting Run for the age group of 14-16 years, wherein the selected boys and girls will be trained under DKAA, to produce future champions of Mangaluru.

The public, government agencies, institutions, companies and corporates, social organizations and people from different professions etc are invited to logo launching of ‘Sahyadri 10K Run, Mangaluru’. By participating in this event, Health & Fitness consciousness can be spread across the Dakshina Kannada region.
