Prohibitory orders imposed in Udupi district from Dec 19 to 21

Udupi, Dec 18: Prohibitory orders are in place imposed in the district from Thursday, December 19, till December 21, due to likelihood of disruption to public peace and order.

In the wake of rumours about planned demonstrations against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) in parts of Dakshina Kannada district, prohibitory orders will be in force from 6 am on December 19 till the 11 pm of December 21, an official release from deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha said.
