Mangaluru: Splendid Annual Day celebration held at St Lawrence Unaided English Medium School

Mangaluru, Dec 19: St Lawrence Unaided English Medium School celebrated Annual Day of classes 6 to 10 on December 16.

The school was filled with a vibrant festive celebration. Chief guest Sangeetha R Nayak, corporator of Pachanady ward, here was escorted by the principal Fr Clifford Pinto.

Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, the joint secretary, St Lawrence English Medium School graced the occasion as president of the programme. Sangeetha R Nayak inaugurated the new school auditorium.



Fr Cyril Lobo assistant parish priest, St Lawrence Church, Bondel, Henbert Pinto, vice-president of Parish Pastoral Council, Priya Maria Furtado, PTA vice-president and Mary Miranda, headmistress of St Lawrence Aided Higher Primary School were traditionally welcomed by the school band.

‘Bandutva’ theme was highlighted through dance forms, skit and songs to promote humanity in society.

The Annual Day of classes 1 to 5 was celebrated on December 17. The splendid celebration spread the festive, sizzling feeling in and around the campus of St Lawrence English Medium School.

Fr Oswald Monteiro, director of Canara Organization for Development and Peace graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Fr Cyril Lobo, Henbert Pinto, Priya Maria Furtado and Mary Miranda were the dignitaries of the day.

The Annual Day of the nursery section marked a colourful celebration of tiny toddlers on December 18. The chief guest of the day, Fr Andrew D’Souza, parish priest of Holy Spirit Church Bajal was escorted by the principal, Fr Clifford Pinto.

Fr Cyril Lobo, Henbert Pinto, Priya Maria Furtado and Mary Miranda shared the dais as the dignitaries respectively.
