Mangaluru: Srinivas University hosts conference on challenges of job seekers in industry

Mangaluru, Dec 19: College of Hotel Management & Tourism, Srinivas University on December 17 organized a national level conference on the theme 'Challenges faced by budding job seekers in the industrial framework: Practices and remedies' at its city campus, Pandeshwar, here.

Milan Samuel, assistant general manager, Hotel Ocean Pearl Inn, here, was the chief inaugurator of the programme.

In his address to the delegates, Milan Samuel, highlighted the current mind setup of professionals entering into the industrial diaspora as freshers, focused on the main reasons behind their instability in their career goals and suggested on some measures to help them in overcoming those drawbacks.

Prof Swaminathan S, dean, College of Hotel Management & Tourism, presided over the function and addressed the delegates while focusing on the main roles to be played by trainers and teachers of various industrial fields in enhancing the confidence and stability among the new professionals.

The key notes were delivered by Dr Francisca Tej and Dr Gurutej, co-founders WiZdom Ed India in a very participative and enthusiastic manner.

The conference was convened by Subrat Saraf, assistant professor, College of Hotel Management & Tourism. Sreejith O V, assistant professor welcomed the dignitaries and delegates to the programme and Subrat Saraf addressed the delegates on the theme of the conference.

Arjun K, organizing secretary delivered the vote of thanks.

As many as 14 abstracts received from various researchers across India were released in book form on the day of the conference and many professors from various colleges of Mangaluru presented their paper on the theme. Eight research papers were also released during the conference.
