Bengaluru: Minister C T Ravi warns 'Godhra' like situation if majority loses patience

Bengaluru, Dec 20 (IANS): Karnataka tourism minister C T Ravi on Friday said the majority's patience should not be 'tested' as he warned Congress leader U T Khader to recall what happened in Godhra.

"It was because of their mental state that they set a train afire in Godhra. It was their mental state that made them burn karsevaks alive. However, when it comes to reactions, we know it in Godhra," said Ravi in Kannada in a viral video.

He called upon Khader to know what happens when people are outraged, advising him to recall in case he has forgotten.

Ravi compared the prevailing situation in Manguluru with Godhra.

On Thursday night, two protesters opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act died in police firing.

Former Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao tweeted the video and said, "Most intimidating (and) provocative threat issued by C T Ravi. The police must immediately book a case against him and take him into preventive custody."

Rao said Ravi, a holder of a constitutional position, has no business to spew venom like this.

This is like the true confession of who were the culprits in Godhra violence by Sanghis. These types think only they are Indian. All others who do not believe their ideas are anti-national. They will sacrifice the lives of others even to see that they stay in power.

Power and position have made him crazy and completely gone out of control.
It is like the Kannada saying "mangana kaiyalli manikya" and has started issuing silly, stupid and absurd statements and made a fool of himself. It happens when illiterate people are put in responsible positions due to whatever reason.

C T Ravi, please remember Karnataka is not Gujrat, What happened in Mangalore is not communal clash. Everyone has right to demonstrate in democratic set up and it's constitutional right of the citizen. It's also heard that in Mangalore some miscreants joined the mob and hurled stones at police just to spoil the demonstration. Truth will come out soon. Dont try to give fire to the incident. Mangalore is not chikmagalur. If you try any misadventure, you will not find a place to hide, remember. Grow up man, India is changed now. People are in no mood to hear your nonsense. They need peaceful co-existance. Don't threaten by uttering Godhra. No one cares you. Try to live in peace and preach peace.

This is totally outrageous! C T Ravi has crossed all the limits and has shown his rogue culture. This is totally unacceptable and action should be taken against him.
As I said earlier some people totally go out of control when they get little power position.
