Case registered in UP gang rape case


Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 23 (IANS): Two months after a woman in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh was gang raped, Uttar Police on Monday registered a case against five men.

Inspector-in-charge (SHO) of Karvi Kotwali, Anil Singh said following a court order on Sunday in Karvi Kotwali a case has been registered under several sections of the IPC against Kunish Purva residents Satish, Akhilesh, Neeraj, Madhuva and Rajesh.

The victim was sent for medical examination on Monday, he said.

Singh said, "The victim has described the incident in her application as two-month old. No arrest of any accused was made. Now the case will be investigated."
