Dubai: LKAE Celebrates Nativity Feast

Dubai, Sep 14: LKAE celebrated the feast of nativity on Saturday the 12th of September at Winny’s Restaurant Dubai. The program started at 7.30 pm with prayer led by Merlyn D’souza and group.

Children and adults alike showered flowers on Mother Mary whilst singing ‘Sakkad Sangathha Melliyan’ and ‘Moriyek Hogolsiyan’ in Konkani. The keyboard was played by Steve D’souza.

Elsie Lobo started the proceedings as LKAE President Joy D’souza briefly welcomed the guests and the families present on the occasion. He thanked everyone for their invaluable support & contribution towards the welfare of our parishioners. 

Stan D’souza made an announcement of our annual sports event to be held on 2nd December 2009 at Wonderer’s club Sharjah featuring Volleyball and Throwball tournaments for the seventh time in succession. 

Thomas Saldanha introduced prominent guests Walter Nandalike of, Dayan D’souza of ‘daijiworld weekly’ newspaper who spoke about the launching of their new project earlier this year.

Michael Castelino, founder president of Emirates Pangalites was also present among guests

The mouth-watering food prepared by Winny’s Restaurent was served on traditional shirethi (planton leaves) for everyone’s delight.  

The program was ably conducted by Elsie Lobo.
