Bangalore, Sep 15: The 8th ACMM Court here took to task the personnel of the Chandra Lay Out police station here, for not executing the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against BJP MLA Renukacharya. It may be recalled that Renukacharya had been named as the accused by a nurse named Jayalakshmi, who was earlier working in Victoria Hospital here. After her love affair with Renukacharya had broken down, Jayalakshmi had tried to commit suicide and in her suicide note, named the MLA for tormenting her mentally.

On Monday September 14, instead of Renukacharya, his lawyers presented themselves in the court and submitted an affidavit. The policemen clarified to the court that they could not serve the arrest warrant on the MLA for technical reasons. The court adjourned the hearing in the court to October 8 and said that the non-bailable arrest warrant will be in force till October 14.
