Mangalore, Sep 16: Avril Aranha, daughter of Raymond and Anita Aranha of Karangalpady, Mangalore has secured the all India 45th rank in the Chartered Accountancy final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in November 2008. She was felicitated by the president of ICAI at the Convocation 2009 at Hotel Windsor, Bangalore, recently.
Avril had secured 45th rank in the CA PE II examinations too in Nov 2005. Avril, who did her schooling and college from St Agnes Institutions had won the general proficiency prize right through. She also secured the eighth rank in the BCom university examination.
Avril did her CA articleship in the firm, Nitin J Shetty & Co, Mangalore and is presently working for audit firm, Ernst & Young in Bangalore. She is the grand daughter of Alphonus and Maggie Aranha of Kadri, Mangalore and late Stany and May Pereira of Chennai and great grand daughter of late Freddie and Loo Pais, Urwa.
