Abu Dhabi, Dec 27: After being accused of not following health standards, a food establishment was closed in UAE earlier this week.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued a decision to close 'Baqala Top Save more LLC' for flouting hygiene standards.

A statement issued by Adafsa said that the establishment failed to adhere by the rules regardless of repeated warnings. Adafsa stressed that this kind of carelessness could affect the health of consumers.

The authority added that the store will remain closed until hygiene standards are improved. The store was violating the rules of storing huge amounts of frozen products in freezers and refrigerators, selling poultry and fish from unknown sources and had also not renewed their licence.

The establishment was issued five violations in June, September, October and December 2019.
