Udupi: Health condition of Pejawar Swamiji deteriorates

Udupi, Dec 28: The health condition of Pejawar Math Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji deteriorated further on Friday, December 27. He is being treated in the Manipal hospital since last Friday. No improvement is noticed so far in his consciousness. He is on ventilator and life support system as per the information provided by the hospital authorities.

In the scanning that was done on the night of Thursday on Swamiji no additional information was gathered by the physicians attending on him. One more scanning was done on the night of Friday.

Seera of Kaginele and Siddaganga Math, RSS joint secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi, minister J C Madhuswamy, chief of Manipal Group of Hospitals Dr Ranjan Pai paid visit to the ailing seer on Friday.

Though Swamiji was suffering from fever on December 19, he partook in three programmes and then got admitted to Adarsh hospital in Udupi and returned to the Math as he recovered a bit. However, he was admitted to Manipal hospital on the early morning of December 20 for acute breathing problem.
