Bantwal, Dec 29: A person accused of murdering his younger brother by hitting him with a stick was arrested by the police from Melkar near here on Saturday, December 28. He was produced in the court.
The arrested accused is Cyril Lobo alias Kille from Bolangady near Melkar. The person murdered in this case was Muyya alias Leo Lobo (50). The brothers had fought with one another on silly pretext on December 26 at the end of which the elder brother had reportedly killed his younger sibling by attacking him with a cudgel. Leo Lobo died on the spot.
Police circle inspector here, T D Nagaraj, guided a team led by the town police sub inspector Avinash that arrested the accused. The court remanded him to two weeks judicial custody.
