Humpy wins women's World Rapid Chess C'ship


Moscow, Dec 29 (IANS): India's Koneru Humpy has won the women's World Rapid Chess championship beating Lei Tingjie in the Armageddon after the winner was determined through a playoff.

Chess world champion Magnus Carlsen won the men's title.

Humpy was returning to the game after a two-year break during 2016-2018 as she became a mother.
