Udupi: Finnish First Secretary Sanna Selin Inaugurates Arts Museum at Heritage Village

Udupi, Sep 17: “All those who are interested in cultural arts, strive to preserve it for posterity”, said Sanna Selin, first secretary of the Embassy of Finland, New Delhi, on Thursday September 17
Selin was speaking at the inaugural of the museum of arts and crafts at Heritage Village here. The museum has been set up by the city-based Hasta Shilpa Trust.
“A folk arts museum was set up at the Heritage Village in 2007 as collaboration between the Hasta Shilpa Trust and the Embassy of Finland in India”, added Selin.
Hasta Shilpa founder secretary Vijayanath Shenoy, chairman Mohandas Pai, Rajesh Pai, and Satish Pai were present on the occasion.
Hasta Shilpa Trust is renowned for restoring centuries-old structures besides setting up many galleries at the Heritage Village.
