Blankets given by CM Yogi to homeless taken away, FIR filed against culprits

Lucknow, Dec 29: In a drive to help the underprivileged, UP CM Yogi Adityanath visited several homeless shelters and government hospitals on December 27. However, as soon as the CM left, the blankets donated by the CM were taken away from the destitute people. The Lucknow Police has registered cases against people who are accused of taking away blankets from the people living in shelter homes.
 
The administration has also taken cognizance of the matter and has assured criminal proceedings against the culprits.
 
As per reports, Adityanath had visited the shelter homes located inside Laxman Mela Ground, Dollyganj and King George Medical University. During this visit, he also interacted with homeless people and took a stalk of facilities assured to people living in these shelters.
 
 
In his drive to benefit the underprivileged, the CM was accompanied by the state government ministers Mahendra Pratap Singh, Ashutosh Tandon, district magistrate, Abhishek Prakash among other senior officials.
