Mangalore, Sep 19: Chandrashekhar Shetty, who is aged around 45 years, fell down from the terrace of a building here at about 8 am on Saturday September 19 in a freak accident, and lost his life instantly.

Shetty, a resident of Bailoor Nakre House, reportedly had taken on lease, the ‘Cellar Bar and Restaurant’ located at K S Rao Road here, recentlyi. A lodge is being run in the upper floors of the bar. Shetty, who had gone up the terrace of this building, was exercising. It is said, as part of the exercise regimen, he ran from one end of the terrace to the other, and stopped running after holding the parapet on the other side, before starting to run again on the opposite direction towards the parapet on the other side.

It appears, he slipped either accidentally or because of absent-mindedness, and fell down several floors down, to the ground floor of the building. His head sustained grave injuries, and Shetty breathed his last on the spot.

It is said, Shetty was earlier working in Pune.
