Mangaluru, Jan 1: District BJP led by Mangaluru South MLA Vedavayas Kamath staged protest here at Talapady tollgate against Navayuga company for collecting toll from commuters on Wednesday, January 1.

Vedavyas Kamath said, “We are holding a peaceful protest at Talapady tollgate and not allowing any one to pay toll here. Vehicles should be allowed to move free without paying the toll.

“Despite MP Nalin Kumar Kateel handing over Rs 62 crore for Pumpwell flyover, Navayuga company has failed to complete the work in the given time frame.

“Navayuga company promised to complete the work and kept giving deadlines. Congress has simply defamed the name of MP Nalin. During the meeting yesterday, Navayuga company has given in writing that work will be completed on January 31. Hence, this protest is a warning for Navayuga company,” he stated.

The sorry state of affairsin spite of the literacy of the district people are made to believe this drama what is the benefit suspended toll collection. If there's any punishment for extended contact for so many years may be accepted

Situation is tricky. Contrat was handed over during Sonia Gandhi regime to Navayuga company belonging to former Andhra Pradesh CM YSR Reddy. If the central government takes action against the company now the Congress may create all noise on ill treatment of companies belonging to minority groups.

What a lame excuse! The honest & efficient leaders who sent Chidambaram & DKS to jail are afraid to take action against a construction company. They must be afraid of the "Bhoot" of YSR.

Congress could not do, BJP promised achche din, hence BJP was elected... even after 10+ years, if BJP is not capable to fix problems, then you know what's the only thing BJP can do... resign & sit at home.
