Mangaluru: Anti-CAA violence - 16 cases booked, 21 people arrested so far

Mangaluru, Jan 2: As many as 21 people have been arrested so far and 16 cases have been registered at the Bunder police station of the city in connection with the anti-CAA protest, which turned violent and two people were killed in police firing on December 19, 2019.

A case was registered at Bunder police station against insult and provocative message on social media that was posted against Khazi on Wednesday, January 1.

The sources have also confirmed that information is given to PWD, RTO and other departments to assess the loss that has occurred due to the destruction and damage that took place during the violence.

    Give them all with severe punishment so that this should be an example for all in the future. Teach them how to protest peacefully & put them in prison for a minimum of 20 years.

    Yes, my tax money can be used to feed them....
    I don't want to spend my tax money for repairing public property...

    In fact, it will cheaper to feed them rather paying for repairing damage they create...

    Violence is not the way of protest even if authorities use force on protesters.
    Can achieve all the goals with peaceful means.
