Karkala: Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology Celebrates ‘Engineers Day’

‘Engineers Day’ was celebrated by Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology (MVSIT), Thodar, near Moodbidri, recently. 


 
Babunarayan Katpady of NIT-K, Suratkal, was the chief guest who spoke about the devotion to duty of Sir M Visveshwaraya, the engineering genius of modern India, how he was responsible for industrializing Mysore, and how the state marched forward during his period as Diwan of Mysore.
 
MVSIT principal Dr Sandeep J Nayak spoke about Sir Visveshwaraya’s total dedication to work right from his early days as an engineer. He talked of how and why the present day engineers should follow in his footsteps.
 
Dr M V Shetty Trust secretary Dr M R Shetty, remembered the sincerity of Sir Vishveshvaraya and how he resigned as Diwan of Mysore when he was pressurized to do something, which is rarely found now.
 
Dhiraj, student representative, proposed the vote of thanks while Auryl Suneha compered the programme.
