Bengaluru Jan 8 (IANS): Bengaluru youngsters Sabiq Saleem Baji and Ayushi Kishore wore the champions crown in the boys and girls sections respectively in the top category (15-18 years) in the sixth leg of the US Kids southern swing (Bengaluru Local Tour) being played at the Eagleton Golf Resort here on Wednesday.

The winners grabbed 30 points each to almost seal their spot in the World Championship.

Another Bengalurian Ayan Ahmed carded the lowest score of the day signing off with a superb 3-under par 69 in the boys 9 years category and won by 11 shots against Nilofer Sivamoorthy of Coimbatore.

In a very close finish, Ansh Jobanputra from Ahmedabad emerged victorious by a solitary stroke against Armaan Gawde of Mumbai while carding a 2-under 70 for the day.

The winners were honoured by former India wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani who also gave a pep talk to the aspiring juniors.

The seventh and penultimate event will be played on Thursday.
