New Delhi, Jan 10 (IANS): The minimum temperature in the national capital region (NCR) on Thursday night declined 4.4 degrees Celsius compared with Wednesday night, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

It would dip further early Friday and hover around 6 degrees Celsius in the morning, it added.

"At 8.30 p.m on Thursday, 9.2 degrees Celsius was recorded against 13.6 degrees Celsius at the same time on Wednesday," IMD official said.

The maximum temperature during the day was 13.2 degrees Celcius.

Thursday morning witnessed fog with an improved air quality. The region would continue to witness dense to very dense fog in the next few days, it said.

The air quality was under 'poor' category due to rain the city received during the last two days.
