Mangaluru, Jan 11: Dr P S Harsha, city police commissioner has responded to the videos, pertaining to the anti-CAA violence that rocked the city on December 19 and claimed two lives, released by former CM H D Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru on Friday, December 10.

Reacting to the release of videos by Kumaraswamy, Dr Harsha said, "Only certain selected visuals are released to the media twisting the situation. When one looks at these clippings, it is not possible to know the actual sequence of events that took place on the day of protest. Only when one looks at the comprehensive video of the sequence of events that took place on December 19, it is possible to see the real picture. So it is very important to investigate the occurrences that are shown in the video clippings as well as the situation.

"Police of the city have tried to maintain law and order. Police have posted the visuals of the violence on their official Facebook account in order to apprehend the accused, who took part in the protest and violence. Many videos are sent to us by the public. Recently, some clippings of the violence are released to the media, changing their sequence and context. The real picture can be analysed when one sees all the clippings in sequence.

"CID and Magisterial inquiry is in progress. So Mangaluru police is going to submit all the evidence it has to the investigating agencies. The actual fact and truth will come out only after complete investigation,” he said.
