Media ReleaseDubai, Sep 29: Udenthichin Neketram, Moodabidri Varado Cathlic Association’s Mothi Fest celebration held in Karama Centre, Party Hall on 25th September, 2009 from 12.00pm to 4.30pm.The celebration commenced with the introduction by the Master of Ceremony Vinay Pinto, He introduced MVCA president President Lawrence Dsouza who welcomed the gathering and gave a brief history of Monti Fest. Which was started 240 years in the shrine of Monte Mariano in Faringpet, by a Goan priest Fr. Joachim Miranda.
Entertainment & games followed soon after which was superbly complimented by songs & music played by Cyril Baptist and Music Group. The highlight of the celebrations was the enactment of a short and hilarious Konkani skits. This was well appreciated by the attendees and was full of laughter. A delicious vegetarian lunch and traditional vorne has been served, which was cooked by Al Shay Restaurant, Karama. The food served by MVCA Members and volunteers. Music continued & the members kept dancing on the floor enjoying themselves. Other activities included raffle and housie. Vice President Elias D’souza then proposed the Vote of Thanks; he thanked each & everyone who made this event a great success. He also thanked all the volunteers. Overall the MVCA Nativity Feast celebration was an outstanding success, and we sincerely thank MVCA members and their friends for their attendance.
