Mangaluru: Fr Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Derelakatte inaugurates Student Association

Mangaluru, Jan 14: The inauguration of the Student Association 2020-21 was held on January 13 at the college auditorium of Fr Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Derelakatte. The programme began with a prayer song invoking God’s blessings. The staff advisor, Dr Girish Navada escorted the dignitaries Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, director Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Fr Roshan Crasta, administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Dr Shivaprasad K, principal, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Dr Rio D'Souza, principal, St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor the chief guest for the day.

Dr Girish Navada welcomed the gathering. Dr Shivaprasad K announced the office bearers and the executive members of the Student Association 2020. The chief guest offered a bouquet to all the incoming team members and the old association members handed over the files to the elect members. Later, the principal administered the oath to the new office bearers.



After the oath-taking ceremony, the outgoing president, Samudrala Sai Revanth delivered the farewell speech where he expressed that the vision of the college was embraced as the vision of the student Association 2019-20 and wished the new team success.

Madhavaram Noah Sharon, president of Student Association 2020-21 delivered the acceptance speech. He thanked the management and the students for having faith and entrusting him with this task. He assured that genuine requirements will be brought to the notice of the management and the new association will strive to carry forward the legacy of Father Muller to greater heights.

Fr Roshan Crasta thanked the efforts of the outgoing student council and also highlighted the purpose of the formation of the Students Association. He said that the association is a platform to listen to the students of the college and serves as a bridge between management and students. It also provides an opportunity to exhibit their leadership quality in society.

Dr Rio D'Souza addressed the gathering. He expressing his happiness to inaugurate the association and motivating the audience to strive hard for the wellness of society. He added on collaborating Engineering College and Homoeopathic College to adopt villages and achieve the vision of the colleges to reach out to the public for the society’s betterment. This can be accomplished only when each one of us begins to take up the prevailing issues in the society as our own.

A memento was offered to Dr Rio D’Souza by the director as a token of gratitude.

Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho in his presidential address pointed out the necessity of having a student council in a professional college as it benefitted the students and the college both in leadership and service.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Ashmitha Alicia Coth, general secretary and the programme concluded with the institution anthem.
