Puttur, Jan 15: The department of Computer Science of St Philomena College, here in association with IQAC of the college recently organized a state-level IT fest ‘Pinnacle 2020’ at the college auditorium.

The proprietor of Varadaraja Traders, Puttur, Krishnananda Nayak inaugurated the fest and said, "Success is the result of hard work. One cannot achieve success by just dreaming about it. The dream must become a reality. By continuously putting in great efforts anyone can make a dream into reality."

The campus director, Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as guest of honour and expressed his best wishes.

The principal of St Philomena PU College, Fr Vijay Lobo expressed his best wishes.

The principal Prof Leo Noronha delivered his presidential address.

On this special occasion, Shivani M was felicitated for securing seventh rank in BCA at the Mangalore University level examinations of April/May 2019. The
Assistant Professor, Geetha Poornima K delivered the felicitation address.

Shalini and team led the prayer. The HoD, Vinayachandra welcomed the gathering. The student coordinator, Sherman Baptist Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks. Shiny D’Souza compered the programme.

This state-level IT fest ‘Pinnacle 2020’ consisted of ten events. The students from 20 colleges from various parts of Karnataka participated in the events.

Sri Medha College Ballari bagged the overall championship and St Aloysius College Mangaluru secured the Runners Up trophy.

The prize distribution ceremony of ‘Pinnacle 2020’ was organized in the evening. The Principal, Prof Leo Noronha distributed the prizes. The Assistant Professor Varija M presented the list of prize winners. The staff coordinator, Rajeshwari M coordinated the programme. The student coordinator, Sharath K V proposed the vote of thanks. Richa Jewel D’Costa compered the programme.
