Anker Innovations signs Saina Nehwal as brand ambassador


New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS): Ace India woman shuttler Saina Nehwal was on Wednesday roped in as the brand ambassador of Anker Innovations, a leader in technology. The year-long deal will see Saina be a part of a 360-degree nationwide multimedia campaign.

Speaking on the association, Nehwal - currently World No. 11 - said: "I am delighted to be associated with Anker Innovations. It is a brand that has battled against the best in the industry and has always been associated with quality. These are attributes I associate myself with and these are exciting times for me to partner with Anker."

Nehwal created history at the 2012 Olympics in London when she became the first Indian badminton player to win a medal at the games, bagging a bronze.

Speaking on the association, Gopal Jeyaraj - Head India and Saarc, Anker, said: "It's an honour to have a sports icon like Saina associated with us. She is driven by passion and continues to inspire millions. Like Anker products, Saina stands for all things confident, stylish and savvy.
