Mangalore: Bunts Sangh Felicitates Achievers from Various Fields

Mangalore, Oct 1: Bunts alias Nadavara Mathr Sangh felicitated achievers from various fields at its open session held in connection with its 94th annual general body meeting on Thursday, October 1.
Vice-chancellor of D Devaraja Arasu University, Kolar, Dr Chandrashekar Shetty, felicitated the achievers and distributed scholarships to the students of Bunt community at a programme organized at the Bunts Hostel Hall in the city.
Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Trust, Moodbidri, Dr M Shantaram Shetty, vice-chancellor of Nitte University and orthopaedic surgeon, Dr H P C Shetty, former vice-chancellor of Firsheries University, K Shekara Babu Shetty, NRI entrepreneur and Dr H S Ballal, for his social service, were felicitated for their achievements.
Dr Sanath Hegde was honoured for his achievements in the medical field, P Gopalakrishna Bhandary and Santhosh Rai Ilanthaje were felicitated for their achievements in the agricultural field, Krishna Y Shetty for social service with hotel business, Balakrishna Hegde Kokkarne Udupi as the best industrialist, Soubhagyalaxmi, Kunjatthur, Kasaragod as best sports personality, Harlady Raguveer M Shetty for social service, Kandavara Raghurama Shetty for service in the field of art, Kudi Vasantha Shetty as best teacher and social worker Vishu Shetty Ambalapady were the others, who were honoured by giving gold medals.
Dr Chandrashekar Shetty was also felicitated by the the Bunts Sangh. President of Bunts Sangh, K Amaranatha Shetty, vice-president Raveendranatha G Hegde, secretary M Sundara Shetty and president of Bunts Federation, Ajith Kumar Rai Malady were present.
